Overview

An evening tour inside AlUla Old Town among the restored mud-brick houses and the narrow lanes built to shade passers-by in summer. Your guide explains how the town was built as one continuous mass so its rooftops formed a single defensive walkway. We climb to Musa bin Nusayr castle for the full oasis view, then descend to the restored market, where the craft shops trade into the evening. On foot, mostly level apart from the castle climb.

    Walking between the restored houses with an explanation of mud, stone and palm-frond construction.

    Climbing Musa bin Nusayr castle

    A short stone stairway to the castle for the view over the oasis and the town.

  4. 5:35 PM

    The restored market

    The tour ends among the craft shops and market cafés.

  5. Finish: 6:00 PM

    Back at the meeting point

    Total duration is 2 hours from departure to return.
