Overview
We set out just before sunrise from the foot of Mount Uhud north of Madinah and climb a moderate rocky trail, about ninety minutes to the viewpoint. From the top the whole city opens up, and your guide walks you through the battle of Uhud and names every landmark in front of you. The route is fully marshalled and paced to the group, with rest and photo stops at three points. We are back down before the sun turns harsh, passing the martyrs’ cemetery for anyone who wants a short visit.

The main viewpoint
A twenty-minute break with a snack and a talk on the city landmarks visible from the top.

An optional short stop on the way back before returning to the meeting point.
